North Coast Mysteries started as a chat room conversation many, many years ago. Some time around 1997, my friends and I would write short, non-sensical stories in chat rooms (we were children, after all). The writing died off with most of us except for my friend Joy and I. We continued writing. We developed many, many characters. One would say way too many, in fact. As we grew up, several of those characters died off and others evolved. The ones that evolved are the ones whom I've now turned into the main characters of NCM.
Based in Cleveland, Ohio in the FBI's violent crimes unit, North Coast Mysteries follows a group of FBI special agents in work and life. Murder, kidnappings, and mayhem spell out the lives of these people -- and their personal lives aren't much better. It's quirky, it's comical, and at times it can be dark and heartbreaking. But one thing is for sure, their lives are never boring.
